GoldenGate's Live Standby solution provides continuous data availability for business-critical systems by capturing transactional data from the primary system and applying it to a standby database in real time. If a failure or outage occurs, the failover database is immediately ready to support users with the most current data committed at the source up to its failure point, for complete data recovery.

GoldenGate Software's core platform can detect system outages and automatically initiate a switchover to the standby system. With bi-directional data replication capabilities, it captures changes in the standby database and updates the primary system as soon as it is available.
